Short Talk :
Exam is gonna over, Yeah!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fifth day of the fifth lunar month, commonly know as Duan Wu Festival or Dragon Boat Festival, is the highlighted day to memorialize the minister of the Chu King, Qu Yuan. He was a victim of frame-up, being falsely charge by someone vulpine. Qu Yuan felt disappointed and is suicidal, jumping willingly to the river. The civilians were afraid that Qu Yuan corpse was eaten by the marine organism, so they wraped up the food in silk(I guess it's silk, referring the Wikipedia). These food is generally known as Zong Zi. They threw it in the river, to distract the fish in the river away from the corpse of Qu Yuan. Nowadays, this lump of rice are wrapped in reed leaves, due to the inflationary tendency.. I guess l0lz. Silk is at a premium now, because of its quality and the rareness.
Zong Zi can only be found in Duan Wu festival. Zong Zi is modernized today, in various form. A lot of different flavour are added, due to the requirement of the market. During Duan Wu Festival, my auntie will bring us some homemade Zong Zi. Her Zong Zi is outstandingly delicious, compared to others. She use Thailand glutinous rice to make Zong Zi. Thailand glutinous rice is more refined than the local. It isn't adulterated, so its taste and smell is more to unmixed, and elastic.
Regular Type Of Zong Zi

I don't like to eat mushroom, although I like to play Mario. L0lz.

Oww, so oily.
Smaller Zong Zi (There is no other ingredient within this type of Zong Zi.)

See, the surface of the Zong Zi is sooooo shiny and smooth. You can hardly find a single white rice in this unadulterated Zong Zi.

Paired with this Kaya jam(or coconut egg jam), the Zong Zi taste fascinated.

Nice!!
Zong Zi with Red-bean ingredient inside

It is first time I eat it. I don't know who invented it, but it still taste captivating.

(^ ^) hihi.. I can't believe you have such a great blog and you are only 15 right? *jealous* I wish my blog was as successful as yours.
In Kuching, try avoiding from buying it on Duan Wu festival. They will purposely make it more expensive. Though it's nice, I don't think it's worth the money. Peace!
